We announce the death of Cornelia Abigail Wallace of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 88. Cornelia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Pegram and Norma Nadine Walker Pegram; her husband Dewey Lee Wallace; her sister Prudence Beals; and her daughter-in-law Faye Wallace.
She is survived by: her children, Dewey Lee Wallace, Jr. of Yadkinville, NC, Barbara Wallace Hurst (Rodney) of Princeton and Connie Wallace Collins (Doug) of Yadkinville, NC; her grandchildren, Virginia Abigail Wallace, Joshua Lee Wallace, Jason Allen Hurst (Allison), Kelli Hurst Pile (Taylor), Heather Ashley Roberts (Michael) and Jared Adam Collins (Morgan); and her siblings, Billie Smith of Charleston, SC, Monica Matherly (Richard) of Powhatan, VA, Cheryl Mills (Skip) of Sandstone, WV and Woodrow Pegram of Eccles, WV. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren (one due in November); 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Seaver Funeral Home (1507 N Walker St, Princeton, WV 24740). A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
