She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth "Ryn" Parsons of Asheville, NC; her husband Paul Shamel; her brother Robert DeLeo (Jackie) of Christiana, TN; and her friends, Stephanie DiCato of Winston-Salem and Janet McGinty of Waterford, WI. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
