We announce the death of Franklin Brantley of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Franklin and Virginia McGee Brantley; and his sister Wanda Sue Davidson. He is survived by: his wife Alice Brantley; his children, Brent Taylor (Tami), Becky Taylor, Stephanie Brantley and Evelyn DeLong (Matthew); his grandchildren, John Burchfield, James Burchfield (Lillian), Coleman Taylor, Allyson Taylor, Madison Bodrey, Nora DeLong and Owen DeLong; his brother David Brantley (Elsie); and his niece Jennifer Brooks (Mat). He is also survived by three great-granddaughters.
