With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred Benton Harless of Winston Salem, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2025 at the age of 60. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Fred Benton may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his parents, Sandra Kay Bibb Harper of Clemmons and Fred Earret Harless (Evelyn Sue); his son Joshua Harless (Meagan) of Clemmons; his sister Sharon Harless Cunningham (Bobby) of Winston-Salem; his stepsister Jennifer Owens Key (Bobby) of Lexington; and his nieces, Kaitlyn Cunningham, Meredith Key and Elisabeth Key.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rose Cemetery (200 Cemetery St, Mocksville, NC 27028). A reception will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
