He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ellis and Frances Hendrix Hauser; and his siblings, Madeline Long, Kate Keiger, Evelyn Phillips, Anna Keiger, Betty Speas, Jean Hauser Cooke and Clyde Hauser.
He is survived by: his wife Lela; his sons, Dr. Alan Kent Hauser (Jina Cho) of Newport Beach, CA and Dr. Brad Eric Hauser of Ahoskie, NC; his grandson Colby Hauser of Raleigh, NC; his stepgrandson Seewoo Song of Nashville, TN.; and his sibling J. E. Hauser. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
