He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Arthur Lawrence and Sarah Elizabeth Meechum Lawrence. He is survived by: his wife Betty Joan Lawrence; his sons, George Gary Lawrence, Jr., Arthur Christopher Lawrence (Jessica) of Fort Mill, SC and Sean Anthony Lawrence (Charlotte) of High Point; and his grandchildren, Ayden Lawrence, Jackson Lawrence, Silas Lawrence and Remington Lawrence.
