He is survived by: his children, Melinda Morgan, George Louis Mitchell, Jr. (Freda), Myra Jean Tucker (Harold) and Melissa Kaye Sweeney (Wesley); his goddaughter Diane Stowe; his grandchildren, Damien, Darryl, Carlisa, Macayla, Sierra and Wesley; his great grandchildren, Naryah and Damien; and his siblings, James Mitchell, Sylvester Mitchell, Alphonso Mitchell, Catherine King and Gloria Barber. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.
