With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Miller Britton of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though George may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnstone and Cristina Welles Britton; and his sister Victoria Britton. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Brody Britton; his sister Linda Cristina Britton (Charlotte); and his sibling's children, Max Duarte (Amy), Linda Glickman (Rob), Susana Duarte of Suarez and Victoria Hollidge (Doug).
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Timothy's Episcopal Church (2575 Parkway Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27103).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AARF (Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation) in Winston-Salem.
