With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Geraldine Newkirk Moore (Winston Salem, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ahminious Newkirk and Janie Newkirk; her siblings, Leonard, Clarence, Thomas, Marvin Newkirk, Sadie Watkins, Pauline Singleton and Etta Mae McIntyre; and her husband Dr. H. L Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Revenda Ann Mosley, Shaye Pridgen, Henry Pridgen (Linda), Terry Moore and Rev. Daryl Moore; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Pridgen, Jenard Durham, Jeffrey Woods, Jenard Moore (Destiny) of Greensboro, NC, Henry Pridgen Jr. and Brian Mosley (MiEsha) of Arlington, VA..
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (3230 Heitman Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27107). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
