We announce the death of Glenda Brigance Durell of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 92. Glenda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Rogers Brigance and Lucille Carpenter Brigance; her stepsister Antoinette Ludlow Hubbard; and her husband Jack Lorren Durell. She is survived by: her children, Charles "Chuck" Durell of Raleigh, Cherri Grube of Winston-Salem, Jack "Jay" Durell (Denise) of Odessa, Texas, Karen Durell (John Grossi) of Winston-Salem and Kirk Durell (Sherrie) of Huntersville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brantley Funeral Home (6875 Cockrum Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brigance Family Cemetery (6809 Center Hill Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at the Brantley Funeral Home (6875 Cockrum Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654).
