He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Forrest Thomas (Dorez), Karen Forrest, Sonya Thomas (Patrick) and Melinee Forrest; his sisters, Geraldine Ellerbe, Melinee Lampkins and Equilla Allen; and his grandchildren, Takia McGee, Jamil Thomas (Cady), Jewaun Thomas, Bryant Forrest, Billy McKeever, III, Christopher Thomas, Patrick Thomas, Kelsie Thomas, Ricky Forrest, Tracie Forrest and Jalen Forrest. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
