He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Green Veit; his son Jack Barger Veit III (Meghann); his grandsons, Jackson and Holden of New Bern, NC; his brother Gary Veit (Debbie) of Lancaster, SC; and his nieces, Stacey, Susan and Leslie.
