James left this world on May 24, 2025 at the age of 67, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He is survived by: his wife Jodie; his son Jeremy (Beth); his grandchildren, Ryan, Toby and Lucy; and his siblings, Sue Steck, Carol Kidd and Bill Abbott (Pam). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel (858 Hickory Tree Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the First Alliance Church (1370 Arnold Rd, Lexington, NC 27292). A committal service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Parklawn Memorial Gardens (2730 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127).
