He was predeceased by: his children, Katherine Dana Chasteen and Paul Daniel Chasteen. He is survived by: his wife Barri Chasteen; his son Luke Chasteen (Jessica); his grandchildren, Tristan, Sage and Lily; and his sisters, Debbie Adrian, Viveca Velez (Miguel) and Jann Griffiths (Mike).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Winston-Salem (3055 Robinhood Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106).
