She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Galyean and Fred Cockerham; her husband Franklin Roosevelt Sharpe (Mickey); and her daughter Donna Jean Sharpe. She is survived by: her sons, Franklin Bickett Sharpe of Hildebran, Larry Alan Sharpe (Donna) of Sunset Beach, NC and Robert M. Sharpe of Sunset Beach, NC; her sibling's children, Martha S. Hartmann, Kelly, Jordan and Gavin; and her cousin Jerry A. Sharpe (Nita).
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home & Crematory (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A burial was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (3120 Falling Creek Rd, Hickory, NC 28601).
