We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2025, at the age of 89, Jennie Ann Nicely Baker of Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Jennie Ann Nicely has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Nicely and Velma Sperling Nicely; her husband Thomas Baker; and her sons, Thomas "Danny Boy" Baker and Tony Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Baker, William Baker and Wayne Baker (Sheralee). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a host of honorary children/grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Piney Grove Baptist Church (4715 Indiana Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
