She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Whisnant and Margaret Whisnant (Peggy). She is survived by: her children, Madison Lackey Pichardo (Kevin) and Dr. Justin Trevor Lackey (Katy); her grandchildren, Luca, Clara Pichardo and Elliott Lackey; and her sister Jan Thompson (Joe). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
