He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Long and Louise Long; and his brother Daniel R. Long. He is survived by: his wife Connie Winfrey Long; his sister Mary Mendenhall (Jerry); his sister-in-law Brenda Long; his children, Aaron Long (Susan), Mandy Blalock (Preston), Meredith Ellis (Norman) and Jessica Stewart (Daryl Baltes); his grandchildren, Dustin Long (Katelyn), Christian Morrissey (Star Thompson), Emma Long, Mason Beshears (Sophia Bergen), Gavin Ellis, Asia Short (Rod), Zack Ellis, J. P. Blalock and Leah Riggan (Joe); and his great grandchildren, Landon, Caden, Grace, Chloe and Callie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Faith Church (1078 Gumtree Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
