He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Spencer Watson and Helen Watson; his siblings, Shirley, Wanda and Dicky; and his son Jimmy D. Watson.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Wyatt Watson; his sons, Michael Watson, Jason Sechrist (Ruth) and Adam Sechrist (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Megan Masencup (Justin), Casey Southern, John Firth, Christina Mabe, Christopher Watson and Chad Watson; his great grandchildren, Wesley, Cooper, Ty, Lane, Faith, Caleb, Killian, Gracie and Kierstin; his sister Linda Ford (Bill); and his pets, Missy, Little Bit and Lily.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
