It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Scott May of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William Joseph May and Doris Elizabeth Burke May; and his brothers, William Joseph May Jr., Charles Burke May and James Bryan May.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Royal May; his sons, Joseph Andrew May (Jessica) of Apex, NC and William Scott May (Kara Iskenderian) of Alexandria, VA; his granddaughter Elizabeth Therese May of Apex, NC; his brother Robert Eugene May of Lexington, NC; and his sibling's children, Jenny Ferguson (High Point), Chrissy Long of Clemmons, NC, Meredith May (Laurel, MD) and William Tucker of Atlanta, GA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Centenary United Methodist Church (646 W 5th St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
