With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jonnie Ellen Hine Tucker (Winston Salem, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jonnie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jonnie. Though Jonnie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Colon Eli Hine, Sr. and Elizabeth Reed Hine; her husband Robert York Tucker; and her brother Colon "Eli" Hine, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Tucker; and her sisters, Bobbie Keene and Colene Voll.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Cross Moravian Church (4295 High Point Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107).
