We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2025, at the age of 52, Kandi Laverene Parks of Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Floyd Parks Jr. and Ella Ruth Parks; her sister Donna Parks; and her nephew Stephen Young. She is survived by: her husband James Roberts; her children, Kanisha Huynh (Louis) of Winston and JaShya Roberts of Winston-Salem; her grandchild Aiden Huynh of Winston-Salem; and her siblings, Karen Young of Winston-Salem, Melissa Whittington (Kenneth) of Wilkesboro, Lisa Corpening (John) of Wilkesboro, Crystal Banner (Stoney) of Lenoir, Sharon Parks of Lenoir and Floyd Michael Parks of Statesville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Chapel (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (60 Roaring River, NC 28669).
