He is survived by: his children, Laura Harbin Stern (Brian) of Raleigh, NC and John Russell Harbin of Asheville, NC; his grandsons, Grayson and William Stern; and his siblings, Garry Harbin (Kathy) of Winston-Salem, NC and Linda Hurst (Wayne) of Colorado.
