She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lawrence Pendergraph and Mary Catherine Hodgin Pendergraph; and her in-laws, Ben L. Smith, Jr. and Frances Winslow Smith. She is survived by: her children, Sarah Smith Binion (Tommy), William Smith, Benjamin Smith (Cori) and Alexander Smith; her grandchildren, Hayes, Brooks, Winnie Binion, Thomas and Eleanor Smith; her sister Ann Pendergraph Stoioff (Scott); and her siblings-in-law, Ben Smith (Marty), Tommy Smith (Peggy) and Sally Smith Sikes (Barry). She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (300 N Cherry St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
