He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Greer and Delia Phillips Greer; and his sister-in-law Vivian Carter. He is survived by: his sisters, Edith Everest and Ann Brown; his nieces and nephews, Clarence William Carter, III (Shelly), Jason Carter (Claudia), Allison Jean Carter, Jessica Louise Carter, Amy Chandler, Caroline and Alley Tuttle; and his great-nephew Clarence William Carter, IV.
