He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Canter and Bessie Joyner; his brother Jim Canter; and his grandson Nathan Canter. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Ellis Canter; his children, Terry (Phyllis), Gina Moon (Robin) and Daren (Kim); and his brother Doug Joyner (Lynn). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Union Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or Trellis Care Kate B. Reynolds House.
