Marian Nicklas Apel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marian Nicklas Apel of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul G. Nicklas and Florence Niewoehner Nicklas; her husband James Ronald Apel; her son Michael James Apel; and her brothers, John Nicklas and Gary Nicklas.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Apel and Beth Smith (Mike); her daughter-in-law Stephanie Oropello; and her grandchildren, Maya Apel, Molly Apel and Brook Smith. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many special friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kinderton Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (108 E Kinderton Way, Advance, NC 27006).
