Marion Lewis Avera Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marion Lewis Avera (Winston Salem, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 24, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Marion shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marion farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maude Upchurch Lewis and Robert Banks Lewis; and her sister Mary Lawhon. She is survived by: her husband Charles Avera of Winston-Salem; her children, Charles Avera Jr. of Winston-Salem and Beth Haupt (Mac) of Surry County; her granddaughters, Mollie Smith (Glen) of Charlotte and Kellie McGee (Michael) of Garner; and her great grandchild Bennett.
