Marvin Saunders Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 8, 2026, at the age of 90, Marvin Saunders (Winston Salem, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herby Saunders and Pauline Marsh Saunders; his former wife Carol Cothern Saunders; his wife Verna Kirk Saunders; and his siblings, Wayne Saunders, Frances Hoots, Ruth Cain and Minnie Holcomb.

He is survived by: his daughters, Theresa Sharon Saunders, Lynda Marie Bragden and Carolyn Lea Booth (Jim); his grandchildren, Lacosta Danielle Childers, Anthony Lowell Childers and Nathan Harper Saunders; his siblings, Larry Saunders (Wilma), Mary Ann Shore and Carol Pope; and his caregiver Pat Callahan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children's Home of Greensboro, or to the donor's choice of charities benefitting underserved communities.
