With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Friday of Winston Salem, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 22, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Padgett and Pearl Padgett; and her children, Bruce Maddox and Pamela Wright. She is survived by: her husband Michael Friday; her children, Lisa Edwards (Derrick) and Edward Jr. Maddox (Wendy); her daughter-in-law Jackie Maddox; her stepchildren, Nicole Jailes and Haile Lindsey; her siblings, Bobby and McAuthor; her grandchildren, T'Nisha Morrison (Gerald), James Wright III, Bianca Maddox, DeShawn Edwards, Bruce Maddox II, Derrick Jr. Edwards (Aleshia) and DeQuan Maddox; and her great grandchildren, Jarius and Dreux. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
