With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Meredith Hawker Alexander Jr. of Winston Salem, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith Hawker Alexander Sr. and Mary Martha Booker Alexander; his former wife Linda Mae Alexander; his wife Ann "Sue" Joyce Alexander; and his brother Jay Alexander.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Hedinger (Joe) and Sheila Roark (Jon); his grandchildren, Megan Hendrickson, Allison Dubs, Aleah Hedinger and Kendall Roark; his great grandchild Kason Hendrickson; his stepsons, Jeff Joyce (Christy) and Steve Joyce; his stepgrandchildren, Zachary Joyce, Madison Spivey, Lindsay Joyce, Corey Joyce, Kayla Joyce and Emma Joyce; and his sisters, Mary Sturm and Shandron Sturm.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Oak Forest United Methodist Church (11461 Old U. S. Hwy 52, Winston-Salem, NC 27107). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
