She was predeceased by: her parents, Treutlen Dudley Paulling and Margaret James Paulling; and her husband John Rufus Loftin. She is survived by: her children, Jay (Joni), Margaret (Dan) and Mary Anne; her grandchildren, Rachel Anderson (Ryan), Cara Loftin, Walt Williams, Noah Williams (Payton), Anna Herb (Langston), Martha Skinner (Michael), Cameron Williams, Harrison White (Hope), Meta Kate Dixon (Jay) and Hadley White; and her great grandchildren, Walker, Watson White, Marlee Anderson and Georgia Williams.
John and Meta were first members at Mount Tabor Methodist Church and then First Presbyterian Church, where they took part in the Eagle's Wings Sunday School Class, hosting the Annual Potluck in their backyard for years until the pandemic.
