He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert James Couch and Ruby Irene Dowell Couch; and his siblings, Jimmy Gray Couch, Robert James Couch, Jr. and Carol Couch Whisenhunt.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Schlaud Couch; and his son Brent Michael Couch of Winston-Salem.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery (2730 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127). Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parklawn Memorial Gardens (2730 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Michael's memory may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
