It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Edmund Smart of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Donald Smart and Dianne Smart; his children, Irell Little, Me'klel Smart and Makhia Brabham; his granddaughter Nyomi Butler; his brother Brian Smart (Thasha) of Conyers, GA; his aunts, Lois Smart Eikner, Linda Marshall and Denise Singletary (Jerome); his nieces, Brianna Smart and Chrisshay Haygood; his nephew Demarco Byrd; and his close friends, Amber Phillips, Barbara Scott, Mark and Nicole Bell. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hooper Funeral Home (1415 14th St NE, Winston-Salem, NC 27105). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
