It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Slater of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Jeanette Slater and Andy Slater; his sister Michele Mankey; his sons, Michael Layton Slater and Matthew L. Slater; and his friend Sarah Turner.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Winston-Salem rescue mission.
