We bid farewell to Nora Smith (Winston Salem, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 5, 2026 at the age of 90. Nora touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Cary Idol and Minnie Melissa Weavil Idol; her daughter Ellen Rogers; and her siblings, Staley Idol, Wade Idol, Marvin Idol, Roger Idol, Ruth Osborne, Maye Keeter and Marie Lambeth.

She is survived by: her spouse Aubrey Lee Smith; her children, Daniel Smith (Lynn) of Lexington, NC and Joanna Shore of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Emily Shore of Indiana, Melissa Rogers of West Virginia, Russell Smith of Lexington, NC and Anna Shore of Winston-Salem, NC; and her great grandchildren, David, Daniel Winebarger, Lucas, Leo, Logan and Layden Jones.
