He is survived by: his wife Lynda Schaefer Nelson of Walkertown; his sons, Jonathan Nelson (Jennifer) of Winston-Salem and David Nelson (Diana) of Wallburg; his brother Steve Nelson of Kernersville; and his granddaughters, Lynette, Madelyn, Annabeth, Roslyn and Vanessa Nelson.
