We are sad to announce that, on January 6, 2026, at the age of 98, Rafael A. Sanchez (Winston Salem, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rafael may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his children, Raul and Mariette. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Strickler; his son Michael; his granddaughters, Heather, Sarah, Rachel and Emma; and his sister Norma Sanchez. He is also survived by his extended family, friends.
