Rebecca Abernethy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Abernethy of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rebecca may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rebecca touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Odell Owens and Alice Cox Owens. She is survived by: her children, Tracy Hahn (Chad) and Chris Abernethy; and her sister Patricia Wall. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hopewell Moravian Church (701 Hopewell Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127).
