He is survived by: his wife Kellie Woodruff Wilson of Yadkinville; his children, Kathy Jenkins (Richard) of Wilmington and Richard Franklin Wilson, Jr. of Mocksville; his grandchildren, Trina Marie Jackson (James), Richard Jackson, Jr., Nathaniel Birt (Heather), Leigha Birt, Katrina Birt-Jenkins, Tyshwan Jenkins, Jalonnie Wilson and Amaya Wilson; and his siblings, Jimmie Wilson (Deborah) of Salisbury, Claudine Clark (Larry) of Chester, Dr. Patricia Copeland of Charlotte and Vonnie Cunningham (Edward) of Rock Hill. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
