He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryant Boyd and Rosa Barnard Boyd; and his wife Ocie Mae Boyd. He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Blankenship (Mike) and Lateah Dunn (Bobby); his granddaughter Megan Lounsbury (Mack); his great grandchild Georgia; his granddaughter Tamara Blankenship (Marty); his great grandchild Eloise; and his nephew Casey Bowman. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mausoleum Chapel (6135 Ridgecrest Point, Winston-Salem, NC 27103).
