It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Bowling Chappell of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Chappell and Myrtle Chappell; his wife Marie "Pat" Chappell; his son Donald; and his daughter-in-law Diana Chappell.

He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Chappell (Cynthia) and Michael Daniels (Patsy); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Chappell (Hannah), Jennifer Chappell Kidd (Randy), Nathaniel Chappell (Carrie), Tony Woodlief and Heather Warner.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Rosemont Baptist Church Food Pantry, 415 West Clemmonsville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
