With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert E. Zimmerman Jr. (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Zimmerman, Sr. and Ethel Myers Zimmerman; and his wife Dorothy. He is survived by: his sisters, Raynell Thrift and Barbara Hamby (Keith).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Advent Moravian Church (1514 W Clemmonsville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carson City Humane Society, Carson City, Nevada.
