He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Lee and Katherine Morris Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Ronald "Ronnie" Carpenter (Christa) and Missy Crawford (Ricky); and his brothers, Michael Carpenter (Janet), Gary Carpenter, Randy Carpenter, Brian Carpenter and Jimmy Gaskill. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
