She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton F. Sapp, Sr. and Irene Brandon Sapp; her sister Kathy Sapp Roggenkamp (Brian); her sister-in-law Ruby Lineback (Roy); and her sons, David Lee Alphin and Barry F. Alphin.
She is survived by: her former husband Charles R. Alphin (Bob); her family, Raleigh, New Bern and Winston-Salem; her husband Black Walnut Pound Cake; her children, Robert Alphin (Beth), Debbie James (Larry) and Christine Alphin; her grandchildren, Tracy Clements (Larry), Kevin Alphin (Emily), Kimberly Smith (Ty), Heather Reed, Derek James and Jodie Durham; her brother Clifton F. Sapp Jr. (Donna); her caregivers, Jessie and Ericka; and her friends, Michael, Wanda and Mackenzie Bowden. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friedland Moravian Church in Sandra's memory.
