He was predeceased by: his parents, John Moffitt and Polly Yates Moffitt; his wife Connie Renee Moffitt; and his brothers, Bud, Jimmy and Johnny Moffitt.

He is survived by: his children, Lee Moffitt (Leigh), Tory Moffitt and Mary Seagle (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Drew Moffitt (Kayla), Cole Moffitt, Breanna Mankaryos (Logan), Trey Seagle and Katie Seagle; his great grandchildren, Jackson and Makenley; and his siblings, Wayne Moffitt (Peggy) and Suzie Bowie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Community Church.

“We grew up in Washington Park neighborhood at the same time. Terry was good friends with my older brothers; their exploits were ones us younger ones tried to imitate. We knew the family well and had fun together growing up. Terry was kind to my parents, helping us put a roof on dad's house when times were tough. Eldest brother Howard "Bub" wanted me to pass along his heartfelt condolences to the family; he and Terry were close growing up. Brother Mark would have given the same if here with us.”
