He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Taylor and Fannie Pearl Hobson Taylor; his brothers, Bobby Taylor and Charlie Taylor; and his nephew Jonathan Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Tuttle Taylor; his son Michael Taylor (Kathy); his grandchildren, Victoria Taylor and Tommy Taylor; his sister-in-law Susan Taylor; and his nieces and nephews, Cynthia Stigall (Jesse), Doug Stoltz (Kathy), Melinda Craver (David), David McKnight (Brenda), Cindy Taylor and Shannon Alspaugh.
