He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Patton Murphy and Susie Virginia Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Murphy; and his siblings, Johnnie Arthur Murphy of North Carolina, Mary Murphy Peeples of Calabash and Karen Murphy Dowdy of Lewisville.
In honor of his memory, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
