He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy James and Mildred Chandler Gant; and his brother Gary Gant. He is survived by: his wife Donna Ward Gant; his children, Anna Byrd (Brad) and Seth Gant; his grandsons, Lucas and Kipton Byrd; and his sister-in-law Tammy Gant.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Winston-Salem First Pentecostal Holiness Church (998 Hutton St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
