She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Zeno and Myrtle Mae Willard; her husband Gilbert Clyde "G. C." Parnell Jr.; and her sister Pattie Sue Willard Thomason. She is survived by: her nieces, Melody Kim Thomason and Marcia Thomason Mullis; and her great-nephew Dewey Mullis of Winston-Salem, NC..
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Friedland Moravian Church (2750 Friedland Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107).
